Knapper Willy Jones of Melbourne, Ark., demonstrates to visitors at Mammoth Spring State Park, the art of flecking, or chipping off small pieces of stone, while making an arrowhead. Mammoth Spring State Park hosted a knapp-in on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20. Knappers displayed a variety of points made from a wide range of stone and demonstrated the reduction process using a hammerstone, made from elk or moose antler or a wooden dowl rod.
