Thayer Fun & Friends Senior Center recently received a remodel thanks to a Coover Foundation Grant for $13,000. In August, the center closed for a week for the remodel which included a new kitchen floor, new carpet and new paint throughout the whole center. The offices also received new paint and carpet. Thayer Decorating installed the flooring and Thayer Fun & Friends Center board members did the painting. “It looks so much better. The presentation is so much better. We have a lot of people comment when they come in about the new carpets. We have rearranged all the furniture, so it looks a little better,” said Thayer Fun & Friends Center Lead Amanda Sisco, stating they have done quite a bit around the center.
