Michael Ray Allen, 76, of Salem, Ark., passed away from this life on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, at Batesville, Ark. Mike was born Oct. 17, 1946, in Camp, Ark. to Kenneth Franklin Allen and Dixie Faye (Sutherland) Allen. Mike worked as a lineman for North Arkansas Electric Cooperative in Salem, Ark. for 36 years. Mike served his country in the United States Navy for four years during the Vietnam War. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar, but possibly his greatest passion was guns, whether buying, selling, trading or collecting. Mike was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and was of the Protestant faith. Mike leaves to mourn his passing, three sons, Michael Allen Jr. of Rogers, Ark., Frank Allen and wife Stephanie of Rogers, Ark. and Blake Hancock of Forsythe, Mo.; two grandchildren, Savannah Allen and Olivia Allen of Rogers, Ark.; brother, Greg W. Allen of Camp, Ark.; sister, Peggy Chamberlain of Salem, Ark.; two nieces, Brandy Rega and Kristal Chamberlain; nephew, Brian Goss; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at the Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark. with Bro. John Hodges officiating. The interment will be in the Camp Cemetery in Camp, Ark. The pallbearers will be Seth Moore, Jeff Bragg, Joe Burk, Kaleb Montgomery, Calvin Maguffee and Jamie Smith. The honorary pallbearers will be Greg W. Allen, Butch Allen, C. R. Holloway, Roy Cunningham, Terry Walker, Justin Johnson, Doug Cheek, Stacy Freeman and David Hardin. Memorials may be given to the Camp Cemetery Association.
