Ozarks Healthcare to host ribbon cutting ceremony for Crisis Stabilization Center

Ozarks Healthcare will host a special ribbon cutting ceremony open to the public at its Crisis Stabilization Center located at 1100 Kentucky Ave. (entrance on 6th St.) on Friday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. Ozarks Healthcare’s Crisis Stabilization Center is operated by its Behavioral Health Center (BHC) and is a medically monitored program funded by the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) that provides an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization.

Ozarks Healthcare Behavioral Health Center Crisis Intervention Team recognized by Missouri Crisis Intervention Team Program

The Ozarks Healthcare Behavioral Health Center’s (BHC) Crisis Intervention Team, part of the Mid-South Missouri Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Council, was recently recognized with an “established” status. The Mid-South CIT Council represents Ozark, Douglas, Wright, and Texas counties from Ozarks Healthcare’s service area.

Community grief support: Group sessions will be offered again at Cherokee Village Peace Lutheran Church

Courtesy of the Peace Lutheran Church community The nationally known grief support program called 'GriefShare' is being offered again to the community on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon starting Jan. 10 at Peace Lutheran Church (located just inside the south entrance to Cherokee Village). Those who participated in previous sessions have encouraged others to benefit from it as they have.
