Ozarks Healthcare recently welcomed Dr. Karen Johal, pediatric physician, to Ozarks Healthcare Pediatrics as a new provider. Johal joins providers Dr. Carolyn Ellsworth and Bridgette Hendrix, APN, in providing compassionate, expert children’s primary care backed by the full resources of the Ozarks Healthcare system.

Spending on houseplants and office plants has flourished in recent years, says University of Missouri Extension horticulturist Robert Balek. The act of giving houseplants as get-well gifts surged in 2019, and the increase has continued since then, Balek says.
BB Road Fire Department will hold its annual ham and beans/chili supper on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. The meal will include all the fixings and desserts for the donation of adults and children over 12 for $10, children 12 and under for $6 and preschoolers eat for free. An auction will follow the dinner. Drawings will be for both the Remington rifle and kitchen appliance package. Spooktacular in Mammoth Spring has been rescheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The annual Mistletoe Magic Arts and Craft Show will be held Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Thayer High School. The free admission event will feature food vendors, crafts, unique gifts and lots of vendors for attendees to visit.
