New guidelines for voters; General Election approaches

The General Election is just around the corner and with this election Missouri voters will be required to present a form of identification other than their voters’ card. Voters will be required to present a valid government-issued photo ID. This includes a nonexpired Missouri driver’s license, Missouri nonexpired nondriver license, nonexpired U.S. passport or military ID. According to www. sos.mo.gov, “if the driver or non-driver license has expired after the most recent general election, it is an acceptable form of voter ID.

Halloween events to sink your fangs into this month

OK ghouls, ghosts and goblins, it’s October and it is time to plan for those Halloween outings taking place throughout the tricounty area as many locations will have activities set all the way through Halloween night. The Highland High School will hold its HHS RAD and student council 4th annual Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will be at the HHS Rocky Top parking in the high school parking lot. NARFE Chapter to meet

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 695 of West Plains will meet Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 12 noon at Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant, 1449 Preacher Roe Blvd. Mike Koszola will present a program on 'Emergency Preparedness.' All active and retired federal employees and spouses are invited to attend.
