Healthcare workers at Ozarks Healthcare to showcase Creative Outlets through market, craft and yard sale event

Several Ozarks Healthcare staff are preparing to share some of their own creativity through hosting a special market, craft, and yard sale event on Saturday, Oct.

Unique WWII B-24 scheduled for 80th WRAAF anniversary celebration

The Wings of Honor Museum and Walnut Ridge Regional Airport will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the beginning of training at the WWII Army Air Forces Basic Flying School at Walnut Ridge the weekend of October 14-16. The theme of the celebration is “A Gathering of Warbirds.” Airport Manager Stacy Hoggard and Harold Johnson, president of the Wings of Honor Museum Board are optimistic that several WWII aircraft, as well as dozens of other planes of all types will fly in for the celebration. Several WWII aircraft owners have been invited. There will be a free breakfast at the museum from 7 – 9 a.m. for all pilots and passengers who fly in on Saturday morning, and an FAA Safety Meeting for pilots is planned at 10 a.m. Lunch for pilots and passengers will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Spring River’s Got Talent tickets on sale

Tickets for Spring River’s Got Talent show, which will be held on Sept. 17 at the Hardy Civic Center, are now available. Adult tickets are $15, students are $10 and can be purchased at: Biggers Bar Grill & Inn and Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce (Hardy); Community Home Health, Rebel Time-Out, First Community Bank and Ozark Gateway Realty OGWLLC; (Highland); Arts Center of North Arkansas ACNA (Cherokee Village); FNBC (Ash Flat) and Cedar Glade Resort & Spa (Horseshoe Bend). Children five and under are free.
