App helps pork producers secure their biosecurity plans

The Rapid Access Biosecurity app can help in the event of a transboundary or foreign animal disease outbreak in the U.S., said Corinne Bromfield, University of Missouri swine extension veterinarian. The web-based RAB app helps pork farmers get their Secure Pork Supply Plans in a format regulatory officials can access quickly when needed and approve plans and provide permits when requested, Bromfield said.

Braitton Earls named to Dean’s List at University of Maryland Global Campus

Courtesy University of Maryland Global Campus Braitton Earls of West Plains, was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

OzSBI to offer Intro to Excel workshop in September

The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) will present an Introduction to Excel workshop on Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. facilitated by Jonathan Smith. This workshop will introduce participants to the basic functions of Excel and develop strong proficiency in the fundamentals of EXCEL on which to build. With this training, attendees will learn how to use charts, graphs, fonts, borders, shading, as well as how to produce spreadsheets that communicate information succinctly and attractively.
