Mammoth Spring Police Department will host National Night Out on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 7:30 p.m. In a statement on Facebook, the department stated “it is our hopes that this will be the first of many events to bring awareness to the importance of positive relationships between law enforcement and the community we serve.”
An official report after a freak boating accident on Lake Norfork Friday night, July 15 announced a Mountain Home man was killed and another man injured in a boating accident Friday night on Norfork Lake.

That’s right, this week a well-known group of musicians who have been bringing the rhythm and beat of great classic country tunes to the area for years is coming to Hardy. Bill Musik and Company will be returning to the gazebo at Dr. Thompson’s Park on Saturday, July 23, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., swinging and singing more of their original and classic country ditties. The Arkansas Department of Health is warning about potential scams in recent days in which scammers have posed as officials, approaching businesses claiming to conduct restaurant inspections. If you believe you have been contacted by a scammer posing as an official, you can report these encounters to the Attorney General’s office online at www.ArkansasAG.gov, by emailing OAG@ArkansasAG.gov or by calling (800) 482-8982.
Ozarka College was selected as a 2022 recipient of the Regional Workforce Grant (RWG) program, a workforce development initiative administered by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education.
