Thayer Police Department’s K9 Tank has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Tank’s vest was sponsored by Martha Morrison of Fayetteville, Ark. and embroidered with the sentiment “Born to Love- Trained to Serve-Loyal Always”.

University of Missouri Extension hosted the 2022 Missouri 4-H Explores – College and Career Pathways event June 1-2 on the MU campus. Participants learned about degree programs at MU’s College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, including agricultural education; biochemistry; natural resource science and management; environmental sciences; animal sciences; plant sciences; agricultural systems technology; food science and nutrition; and nutrition and exercise physiology.
An All-Community Christmas event will be held in July at the Cherokee Village Peace Lutheran Church.
