Upcoming Old Soldier’s Reunion to feature live entertainment

There are many great summer traditions held throughout the area including the upcoming Old Soldiers Reunion which is scheduled to be held in July. Scheduled to begin July 11 through July 16, with the carnival from July 12 through July 16, this year’s line-up has many great entertainment acts for patrons to enjoy in addition to games and a silent auction.

‘Most significant wildlife conservation bill in the last half-century’ passes U.S.

The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to pass the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, a bill to prevent wildlife extinctions by funding locally-led conservation efforts. If it becomes law, Missouri will receive roughly $21 million to restore habitat, remove invasive species and help around 580 species of concern, including greater prairie chicken, lake sturgeon, and swamp rabbits.

VFW Post 7831 to host appreciation lunch

VFW Post 7831 and VFW Post 7831 Auxiliary will host an appreciation lunch on Saturday, June 24 at the Veterans Memorial Park located on Main Street in Mammoth Spring. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and beverages will be served for free for those who stop by from 12 noon to 2 p.m. This is being held to thank all who have supported the organization. Everyone is welcome.
