Ozarks Healthcare Therapies to host Pediatric Yoga Class

Ozarks Healthcare Therapies will be offering a safe, encouraging environment for kids to improve muscle strength, coordination, concentration and body awareness through a special yoga class. The class will be for ages 12 and under of all abilities and will be held Tuesday, June 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Willard Hunter Classroom in Parkway Center. The class is free to attend. Mammoth Spring man faces 60 felony charges; rape and possession of child porn

A man from Mammoth Spring is facing a significant amount of class Y felonies after numerous images of child pornography and assault to a child were found on digital devices. According to documents, 30-year-old Kevin McGath faces 50 counts of manufacturing, possessing or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, a class C felony and 10 counts of rape, a class Y feony.

Thayer man arrested

On May 28, at 1129 hours the Thayer Police Department received a call from Webber Rd. The caller informed dispatch that they had a male subject breaking windows at the Midway Pentecostal Church. Due to the church being outside the jurisdiction of the police department. Oregon County Sheriff’s Office was notified and they asked for an agency assist to secure the scene until they got there.

Smith recognizes finalists for 2022 Congressional Art Competition

On Wednesday, May 25, Congressman Jason Smith held a reception to recognize the young artists of Missouri’s Eighth District who placed in the 2022 Congressional Art Competition. Fifteen high school students from across the district made it to the final round and were honored at the reception. The winner of the competition is Macey Penner of Mountain Grove, whose piece is entitled “Blue Boy.”
