“Remembering West Plains”, storytelling on the square will be featured at this year’s Old Time Music, Ozark Heritage Festival in downtown West Plains, Mo. Programs will be held on the northeast Courthouse lawn at 1, 3, and 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Chairs in the shade will be available for this event. No sign-up is required.
Mammoth Spring Chamber of Commerce held its monthly meeting at Frisco Coffee and Sweets in Mammoth Spring on Thursday, May 19. Members gave updates on their businesses and organizations including guest members Jimmy and Jennifer Marler discussed their cane business that is operated west of Mammoth Spring.
Mammoth Spring FBLA is hosting a yard Sale fundraiser to raise money to attend the National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Ill. this summer. Melissa French placed 2nd in Accounting I at the State Leadership Conference in April and will be competing in this event at the National Conference in June.
Stargazing Adventure will be held at Mammoth Spring National Fish Hatchery on Friday, May 27. Gates will open at 8:15 p.m.
Camp Community Women will hold a bake sale on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28 from 8 a.m. to approximately 4 to 5 p.m.
The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) hosted EPIC 22, their annual National Small Business Week celebration, on May, 12. Approximately 70 attendees from the area had an opportunity to attend and participate in the many diverse events at EPIC 22. The event included many exciting speakers, including: Sarah Hill with Healium, Bobby Walker with Devil’s Backbone Knives, Dr. Jenny Long with Midwest Counseling & Assessment, Shane Baker with Phonics Companion and Johnna Swineford with Viandel Vineyard.
The Spring River Car Show will be held on Saturday, June 4 at Loberg Park in Hardy. The event will open to the general public from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Registration for those who want to show their vehicle is from 8 to 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m.

The Summer of 2022 Hardy Street Music starts off this Memorial Day weekend with some wonderful musical artists streaming live music from the Gazebo at Dr. Thomp son’s Park.
In a fund raising event for the North Arkansas Dance Theatre, a non-profit performing troupe, the NADT Dance Academy will be presenting “The Little Mermaid.” The performance will be Friday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Ozarka College. Admission is $5. All proceeds will go to the non profit North Arkansas Dance Theatre.
