Delores Jane Huffman (Janie) was born on April 23, 1946, in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Ernest Hufstatler and Flora Marie Wallis Hufstatler Crawford and departed this life at her home in Branson, MO on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the age of 77.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Huffman, her parents Ernest Hufstatler and Marie Crawford, 3 brothers, James Hufstatler, Donnie Hufstatler and Ricky Hufstatler.

Janie is survived by her children, Sarah and Steve Evans of Branson, MO, Jerry and Noreen Bowman of Clarksville, TN, Pat Bowman of Gray, LA and Yvette Huffman of Lake Villa IL. Five grandchildren, Daniele, Cody, Sage, Mia and Dani. Also, a bonus grandson Avery. One sister, Joyce Allison of Dixon IL, and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Janie was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

Janie was a grill cook for many, many years at the Country Cottage in Thayer, MO. Working for Goldina and her granddaughter Bonnie. She would tell you she had the best work family anyone could ask for. They took care of her whether she liked it or not.

Janie loved road tripping and doing new things, but she loved her family, friends, flowers and watching the birds and squirrels fight at the feeder the most. She would just sit and chuckle.

Janie is truly loved and missed by her family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM, August 26, 2023, at Byrd Freewill Baptist Church in Myrtle, MO.
