Mammoth Spring School District held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, Oct. 31 for the upcoming construction of two new classrooms and an art room. The building will be attached to the Multi-Purpose Building and will be approximately 6,000 square feet. “We are adding some space that we definitely need. We are excited,” said Mammoth Spring School Superintendent Jenny Whisnant. She stated it will be a two-part build with the first portion projected to be finished by October 2023. However, it is anticipated that it will be ready by August 2023. The second part of the project will include connecting the building with a hallway within a couple of years.
