May 2, 1943 – March 30, 2023

Robert Orville Smith Jr., age 79 of Alvin, Texas passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at his home. Robert was born May 2, 1943 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and was a 57 year resident of Alvin. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked many years as a Lineman for Fisk Electric. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Josephine Smith Sr.; brother, David Smith; grandchildren, Joye and Ashby; and nephew, Anthony Smith.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Amanda Smith; daughter, Patricia Fillips and husband Robert; son, William Smith; grandchildren, Jonathan, Aaron, Andrew, Sarah, Amanda, Karl and Amelia; great grandchildren, Lance, Rose, Viktor and Ryker; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the First Christian Center. (1212 South Durant Street Alvin, Texas 77511)
