Rosemary Halcomb, “Our dear mother”, age 96, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in her home. She was born on September 13, 1926, in Thayer, Missouri to William N. and Goldie M. (Mattox) Daily.

Rosemary was a loving and wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there for us. She had many friends and was a beloved member of the Sunset Church of Christ in Springfield, Missouri. Some of Rosemary’s happiest times were growing up with her brothers and sisters. 

Rosemary was united in marriage to D. G. Halcomb in 1944 in Thayer, MO and in this union, they had three children: Robert Gorden, Maria Lynn, and Larry Dolphus. 

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, William N. and Goldie M. (Mattox) Daily, five brothers; Burl Daily, Alvin Daily, Bob Daily, Orville Daily and Clyde Daily, four sisters; Fairy Dell Daily, Sylvia Huffman, Oma Arnold and Winnie Dills, one son, Larry Halcomb. 

Survivors include: her son, Robert Halcomb and wife Linda of Carrollton, Texas, her daughter, Maria DeWitt and husband Jim of Ozark, Missouri and her daughter-in-law Loretta Halcomb of Richmond, Texas; Six grandchildren, 12 great grand-children and 2 great-great grand-children. 

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 10, 2023, in Sunset Church of Christ, Springfield, Missouri. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Fair Haven Children’s Home, 3132 North Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, Missouri 65757.

Cremation is under the direction and care of Holden Cremation and Funeral Service, Sparta, Missouri.
