Thayer High School junior Cordell Washington qualified to compete in four state championship competitions during the MSHSAA Sectional held on Saturday, May 17 in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Washington finished 3rd in the Class 2 Long Jump, 1st in the 100 meters with a time of 11.32 seconds, secured first place in the MSHSAA sectional Class 2 boys’ high jump and placed second with the boys 4x100 relay team.
